About me:

I'm Joshua Herron, a freelance video director/producer/editor from Las Vegas, NV. I began filming when I was 10 years old after my parents retired their personal VHS camcorder for a newer camera. I picked up their old camera and began making videos around my neighborhood with friends. My interest with film at that point was more of a "hobby" than anything else. In High School, I attended SNVTC (VoTech) originally for Automotive Technology. I attended an open house before my freshman year started, where I wandered into the Television Production classroom. I immediately switched my vocation and began attending VoTech for video. During school my interest in film switched from a "hobby" to a goal. I wanted to pursue a professional career in the Video/Film industry, so I began working at the local PBS station (KLVX Channel 10). While working for PBS I met a friend who really set me on the path that I'm on now. I began to see what making films was really like, and from there he suggested I attend CSN for their film program. I attended CSN for two years taking as many film classes as I could to learn the ropes to help myself progress further. While there, I met a ton of great people who have helped me tremendously in learning more than I ever though imaginable.

Since then I have devoted all my time into making a living off of doing what I love. I've worked my fair share of odd jobs in the past, and have never been satisfied...until now. I quit my jobs and began pursuing a full time career in automotive media in July of 2008, and since then I've been blessed with great opportunities that I've never thought were possible. Since then I've had the opportunity to travel across the U.S. and even to Japan. I've worked for companies ranging from the Union Bank of California, all the way to major automotive companies such as Hyundai.

I am in this industry for one reason; It's what I love to do. If I was able to pick my dream job, this would be it.
