    Jason Collett is one of Canada’s most beloved songwriters and storytellers, with a powerful and diverse catalogue of rock and folk compositions stretching back more than a decade. From his earliest works with Toronto collective Broken Social Scene and his 2001 solo debut Bitter Beauty to his 2005 breakthrough Idols Of Exile, Collett has received constant critical acclaim. Collett signed with Arts & Crafts ahead of his 2002 release Motor Motel Love Songs and has stayed with the label through 2008 release Here’s To Being Here, a stunning accomplishment that was recorded in two quick sessions during the previous winter. He released two albums in 2010 – a fifth studio full-length entitled Rat A Tat Tat - and an acoustic album of reworked songs, Pony Tricks. Jason Collett’s music remains timeless and touching, a constant reminder of the incredible range of human emotion and its ability to exist within song.

    Nice mention of the Hillside Fest set in Exclaim "on Collett swaggered deservingly up to the main stage on Saturday night, and it was then that the Hillside crowd really roared for the first time. But don't thank Collett, thank the sun. "Long may you love the sun" said Collett before jumping into recent single "Love Is a Dirty Word" from this year's Rat A Tat Tat"
