WOW!
I have totally neglected this blog! :o We've been having a great time. Performing and writing a lot of new stuff! I now have TWO bands instead of one......holy cow, I must be crazy! The Second Chance Band is still around for all the country and Christian music, but I am now in a jazz band, too! Aaaahhh, it's such a different change of pace. Having a great time pulling out some old jazz standards and I've dabbled in writing my own jazz and blues, too!
Re-did my website, so go check out the changes at http://www.heatherleighsound.com Sign the guest book and let me know you were there!
Also, Learn & Live has been on th MTB top ten charts for FIVE MONTHS now!!! So long, that Wrecked is now currently holding the #1 spot! I can't believe I have TWO songs in the top ten. You can help me out by voting for one song or the other at http://www.musictampabay.com No signing in or signing up, just click and go!
Thanks for all of your support. My music means nothing without you listening~ -

Fabulous review of my CD!! yea!!

Heather Leigh's new release "Learn & Live" is exceptional! Heather has a unique gift of story telling that captures and mesmerizes you from the beginning to the end of this album. Her vocals and lyrics touch every part you, heart and soul. She brings forth her emotions and takes you to places very few people are able to do. Heather can make you hit the dance floor running and then slow you right down with her beautiful ballads.
Instrumentation on "Learn & Live" is outstanding! Heather on keys, this woman is multi-talented. Jasmin Martinez is on drums, Levi Rice on bass, Wade Neller on acoustic guitar, James Cory is responsible for the lead guitar. Jordan Andrews on rhythm guitar, Derek Fleming on the organ, Phil Traynor does a fantastic job on percussion. Last but definately not least is Chris Wainscott with his beautiful vocals. This group of talented artists bring "Learn & Live" to the top of everyone's must have list!
Choosing 3 songs to showcase proved to be a difficult task for me but in the end these were my picks.
1. Wrecked - This is a song that gets you singing and dancing to right off the hop! Everyone can relate to this one! Heather shows us her kickin country gal in this track! I Love this track!
2. Swept Away - This is a beautiful track. The instrumentation along with Heather's voice truly does sweep you away. It's like being wrapped in a warm summer breeze. This track is a must have for everyone's collection.
3. Whatever You Need - This one stops you in your tracks. It captures the essence of love. You definately feel the emotion that comes from Heather when she sings this song, her vocals are amazing. Pairing this track with a piano was brilliant!
Haven't heard her yet? What's holding you back? "Learn & Live" is a must have album!!! It will be a favorite in your collection! She's definately one of mine!
And those are my views,

Happy New Year!
Current mood:
Hope everyone has a blessed, happy, healthy, and prosperous new year filled with music! :)
blessed
I am excited to see what God has in store for 2010. I look back over last year and I am just amazed at the things that happened. My vocal cord came back to life, Through Her Eyes got TV and newspaper coverage, I recorded and released Learn & Live, and just before the turn of the decade, I got my own band!!
And a little too late for this Christmas, but I started writing a really sassy Christmas song!! Planning on recording and releasing that this year. So fun! :)
Hugs & Kisses,
Heather Leigh
