This Hawaiian ceremonial dance and chant, in nature, seems like a beautiful prayer about and in honor of and for the bounty of earth and the Creator. The word MAQUAH,( they use early in the dance) is the Ojibwe word for BEAR which among other things is the Guardian of the Forest and knows all the healing plants.I do not know what the word means in this chant. This one shows the balance of male and female....in the new 5th world coming woman shall come into her own and inform the New 5th World. ..................... .............. <........................ Love it............................................. plus "The Last Samurai".............." The Last Samurai" took place around 1870 when the Lakota were still doing battle for their land. The Japanese had noted what happened here to the Indians and they knew their old system of the Samurai could not compete with cannon and arms so they outlawed the Samurai as they strove to change their ancient ways. Very interesting. The Samurai went down with honor but in the pathos of fighting their own. His exploits are awesome, shutting down 40 forts with 4 warriors; his recon a nine year old boy , his warriors, a woman , an old man and a reckless youth. He made them fly in unison! Once when they were surrounded in the desert by 400 troops , he took out his prayer feathers and whipped up a sand storm and gave them a sand blast job while he and the 4 escaped! This is the tip of the iceberg as far as his incredible feats went!!!Easily the GREATEST WARRIOR EVER!!! .............................................................................................................. This is about everything Indian culture gave to the world..ie 65% of the food . No one ever had patatoes , tomatoes, chocolate,all manner of beans, squashes etc. They invented rubber and had raincoats , balls etc so the later electrical invention would have gone nowhere without it. This is a facinating read and Jack Weatherford, a professor at Macalester college in St. Paul Mn. took alot of anger from white readers for writing this truth.......................... Another book with the Indian author , Forrest Carter called " Watch for me on the Mountain" is the story of Geronimo. This book makes my blood boil and I want to ride with Geronimo. No wonder the USA military cried "Geronimo" during WII! ANOTHER fine feature of this book is the fact that Geronimo clearly saw how living on a Indian ( concentration camp) Reservation and living hand to mouth on scanty rations made one a slave to the LOW LAW of materialism.; making one foccus on food and housing of the physical body RATHER than being free and living by faith in the Creator and the HIGH LAWS.; because he was a Shamen he had a more profound insight into the Reservation plight of his people...................................... ............................. Mahatma" Gandhis autobiography"; much better than the movie........................... INITIATION by Elisabeth Haich, written during WWII in Germany and is an autobiography of this and a pivotal past life in Ancient Egypt. A facinating read for those who want a really spiritual and Historical perspective regarding reincarnation!!................................. Romance of Atlantis ,Where Eagles gather, The Balance,Lightning and the Glory, by the Scot Lass, Taylor Caldwell.: she paints the portraits of the character of those responsible for the nasty state of affairs the world is in today. All The Alice Baily books which are highly esoteric ; these books call for highly developed intuition and experience as a spirit warrior to understand.
