東京生まれ乙女座のシンガー・ソングライター--トラックメーカー。イギリス人と日本人のクオーター。
クラシック、ヒップホップ、レゲエ、ダブ、ジャズ、民族音楽などの音楽とともに思春期を漂う。G.RINAの名義で、03年に作詞作曲から演奏--プログラミングまでオール・セルフ・プロデュースの1st アルバム『サーカスの娘 - A Girl From ACircus-』を発表、世の早耳リスナーを惹き付ける。
続いて1st アルバムのリミックス作『A Girl From A Circus -Remixes-』をリリース。同作にはロブ・スミスや大沢伸一など親交のあるアーティスト達が数多く参加。05 年には2ndアルバム『漂流上手』をリリース、音楽マニアからポップス好きまで幅広い層に支持される。
07年、本作もまたオール手作りの最新アルバム『大都市を電車はゆく』をビクターエンタテインメントよりリリース。尚このタイミングよりアーティスト名を本名のグディングス・リナに。 作曲の独創性、ユニークな言語センスがそれぞれ評価され、自身の作品以外にも演歌からポップスまで楽曲・歌詞・リミックスの提供もおこなっている。（坂本冬美、土岐麻子、高杉さと美、海外アーティスト等）またDJセニョリーナとして、全国各地のクラブで精力的にDJプレイも行っている。

G. Rina is a Japan born and raised young woman who is a quarter English. She uses only the letter "G" from her full English family name, and places it in front of her given name, as is Japanese custom. Her music is also a hybrid - a mix of electronic and acoustic, pop/jazz/Brazilian/reggae/hip-hop sounds sung in Japanese, English and sometimes Spanish. She also deejays on a regular basis, and while she plays both guitar and piano, most often she sings while accompanying herself on turntable or personal computer. G. Rina in fact describes herself as 'singer/song-track maker'. Her first commercial release was the 12 inch single 'Wandering Balloon', released in 2001 on the indie Angel's Egg, which received a fair amount radio airplay.She has a large following from 'Pop' music lovers to musical addicts covering a wide range of fans. In 2007 she produced her latest album release "Big City Train" through Victor Entertainment.
The songs are considered very original, the music sensual and her unique use of the language (lyrics) are noteworthy. She has been highly evaluated for her work on arrangements and lyrics for other artists as well for her work on remixes. ( Sakamoto Fuyumi, Toki Asako, Takasugi Satomi, Bigabush, Niccolet, Moon Flowers, etc) .
She also works as a DJ known as Dj Señorina. She works with sounds from ghetto bass to Indian music. She is active in this field at clubs throughout Japan.
