Made by monsters for monster lovers, this project ( formed by Lucifer Fulci ( Ex- PENIS FLYTRAP, WORMFOOD, The Fulci Music Project) is the next generation of the musical Grand Guignol, melding the sensibilities of European Metal and classic Horror film soundtracks with a gory multi media approach to all of its efforts. FLYTRAP lives to redefine Horror with every contribution to the beloved genre. The idea of FLYTRAP formed when the original lineup ( Dinah Cancer, Hal Satan, Lucifer Fulci, Elvorian Von Spivey) of PENIS FLYTRAP disbanded in 2004. Music for the upcoming PFT album "The Grand Guignol" was already being written by Fulci. " 'The Grand Guignol' was to be a pure work of the Horror Thematic. It was meant to be a real breakthrough recording for the band, something nobody had ever heard before." - Lucifer Fulci Before switching to the more simple title of FLYTRAP, Lucifer Fulci and Elvorian Von Spivey performed a few shows with new members Abby Normal ( Order of the Fly ) and Dr. Satan ( House of 1000 Corpse's Walter Phelan ) in and around Los Angeles. Soon thereafter, Fulci and Von Spivey parted ways and the origin of FLYTRAP was born. It was in October of 2006 that Lucifer Fulci, The Abberation, Syren Strange and Dr. Satan became the original FLYTRAP. The songs were written for "The Grand Guignol" but the lineup was not set in stone. Each member had their own seperate bands to play in and it was clear to Fulci that he had to travel far and wide to find what he needed to complete his opus. Lucifer Fulci moved his Wormfood Horror Media ( www.myspace.com/WormfoodHorrorMedia ) homebase to the wintery lands of Halloweentown, Michigan where he began to work on the long awaited album "Cthulhu Rising" by his WORMFOOD project ( www.myspace.com/WormfoodFulci ) and the debut of his progressive music project called The Fulci Music Project ( www.myspace.com/TheFulciMusicProject ). During these recording sessions he also recorded all the musics for "The Grand Guignol" by FLYTRAP and continued to seek out a suitable female vocalist. Enter Suspiria Strange. " I was out and about after midnight with my morbid minions in October of 2008 when we came upon a cemetery near the outskirts of Rose Township. We were walking around inside looking for ghosts and goblins...not to mention a cool place to shoot some freaky stills..when out of the corner of my eye I saw Suspiria. She was smoking a cigarette and wondering who the hell else would be wandering around a graveyard at that time of night. We met and shook hands..and then we shared some scary stories. It was three days after when I saw her again. She auditioned that day by singing me "Where Eagles Dare" by THE MISFITS and I knew for sure that it would be her that would be laying down the vocals for "The Grand Guignol". We have been inseperable ever since. "- Lucifer Fulci With the vocals being fine tuned and finished for "The Grand Guignol", FLYTRAP seeks to venture out to the world, bringing its unique style of Horrorpunk/Gore-Core/The Horror Thematic in its live show, which gurantees to cover one and all in a blood soaked madness of true, theatrical terror! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
