Friday night 7 p.m.: Up to one million listeners in North Germany are sitting in front of their radios listening to Flavor Mix.

Flavor Mix is a tasteful combination of new and old Black Music songs. These are mixed skilfully and non-stop by the two DJs FAB 5 FINGER & GRANDMASTER BEN.

For three hours listeners will be served approximately 140 titles in a format that is new and exciting for wordwide radio. Flavor Mix provides the same successful format practised since the end of the 70s in the U.S.A. After successful introduction in Germany and Poland, we want to expand our show into the rest of the world.

In contrast to other mix shows on the radio, Flavor Mix uses all genres of Black Music to offer a much more attractive range of styles. The listener is not only dished up Hip Hop, but Hip Hop and R&B and Soul and Funk and Pop and Reggae. In addition, Flavor Mix plays classics from the 70s and 80s, which are often covered and sampled in contemporary music. The listener will learn that the songs Men in Black by Will Smith and Fast Love by George Michael are both based on the original melody of Patrice Rushens Forget Me Nots.

Flavor Mix has been broadcast on Germanys largest youth radio station N-JOY (North German Radio) since September 2000. The weekly program runs primetime Friday evening between 7 and 10 p.m. and Saturday at 12 a.m. and enjoys great popularity with an enormously growing fan base. Flavor Mix is received terrestrially in five German states and is Germanys most successful Black Music Show. Numerous stars of the international musical scene such as Janet Jackson, James Brown, Eminem, Brandy, Boyz II Men, Craig David, R. Kelly, Jay-Z and many more can be heard regularly with exclusive shoutouts showing their respect to the two DJs FAB 5 FINGER & GRANDMASTER BEN.

Since Flavor Mix is not limited to the German audience it is suitable for broadcasting in other countries. For the radio station this syndication is a cost-saving form of high quality program with an innovative, fresh program that will lead to a noticeable increase of acceptance and the number of listeners.
