  • Bio

Most of the beats are courtesy of Shadowville.com or Sinima Beats. If you are looking for beats you can use check there first. Give in to Win music courtesy of Garage Band, arranged by Fixed Life. Groovin' is a beat made famous by Sugar Hill Gang, and Dreams is licensed from Sinima Beats productions (also a producer on Shadowville.com his site is www.sinima.net) I chose the name Fixed Life for a couple of reasons. First, I had to have a name for the myspace music page so I had to come up with something. Laying down voice tracks over beats is just a hobby I do either in the sanctuary at church or in my bedroom. My job is that of an elected prosecuting attorney for the county I live in. In prosecutorial terms, a fixed life sentence is a prison sentence with no chance of parole. I liked the term because we are all sentenced to a fixed eternity apart from Christ if we do not confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. The term fixed life can also be applied to our lives after accepting Christ as our savior. Though we are not perfect and never will be, we are seen by the Father through the grace of Christ's sacrifice for us.

Early influences were Young MC, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (And later the King of Smooth Rap Will Smith), Mike E and the G-Rap Crew, Michael Peace, SFC (Soldiers For Christ), and the most influential in my growing up years, the one and only-- DC Talk. My musical tastes cover nearly the entire musical spectrum. It is amazing to me the high quality of Christian bands out there now. There were about 3 I would listen to in high school. Now there are so many great Christian bands out there that I don't even listen to regular radio anymore!

It's almost as if they should change the name of the band. It should be good though.
