Erena Terakubo was born in Sapporo, Japan on April 30, 1992. She began playing the alto-sax at the age of 9. At the age of 10 to 15, she participated Sapporo Junior Jazz Orchestra. That time she had the opportunities to have jazz clinics of famous jazz musicians as Herbie Hancock, Tiger Okoshi. At the age of 15 and 16, Erena attended the Berklee 5-week summer program where she was rewarded a full tuition scholarship. In 2009, She was selected the member of Berklee Summer Jazz Work Shop. In 2010, When she was 18 years old, She recorded her first album named "North Bird" with Kenny Barron, Christian McBride, Lee Pearson, and Peter Bernstein. The album was released in Japan by Japanese major record label "King Record" and was reached the #1 on the several Japanese jazz charts. Also the album was awarded Swing Journal Gold Disc. In September 2010, Erena performed with Ron Carter, Ommar Hakim, Will Boulware at International Forum Concert Hall in Tokyo as part of the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2010.The performance was so successful it led to several subsequent TV, radio, magazine and newspaper appearances. In March 2011, Erena had invited to Paris by Japan Culture Center Hall for having her concert. The same time French Culture Center invited her to Burkina-Faso to perform her concert there. In April, Erena recorded her 2nd Album named "New York Attitude" with Kenny Barron, Ron Carter, Lee Pearson, Dominick Farinacci. She was chosen as one of the six presidential students across the world to attend the Berklee College of Music. Based in Sapporo City, her concert appearances have included Tokyo Jazz Festival , Sapporo City Jazz Festival, Jazz Week Osaka 2010(with Michel Camilo Trio), Nagoya Jazz Festival (with Yosuke Yamashita), Kitara Hall (with Sapporo Symphony Orchestra) and more. Apart from collaborating in and outside of Japan with such musicians as Sadao Watanabe, Terumasa Hino, Eddie Gomez, Jimmy Cobb, Anthony Jackson and more.

寺久保エレナ(alto sax)
1992年札幌生まれ。2002年〜2007年(10才〜15才）札幌ジュニア・ジャズ・オーケストラに参加し、ハービー・ハンコック、タイガー大越、日野皓正、本田雅人等のクリニックを受ける。 13才の時、最年少でボストン・バークリー・アワードを受賞。 2007年、2008年ボストン・バークリー音楽院に奨学生としてサマープログラムに短期留学。 2009年バークリー・サマー・ジャズ・ワークショップに日本人として初めて選抜され全額奨学金を獲得、テリリン・キャリントンのクラスで学ぶ。日本では、山下洋輔、佐山雅弘等、著名なミュージシャンとの共演、セッションに参加。 2010年4月高校在学中に1ｓｔアルバム『NORTH BIRD』をケニー・バロン(p)、クリスチャン・マクブライド(b)等を従えてニューヨーク録音。6月キングレコードからよりリリースした同アルバムはSwing Journalのゴールドディスクにも選定される。 7月、札幌シティ・ジャズでオープニングアクトを務める。また9月に行われた東京ジャズ2010ではジャズの大御所ロン・カーター(b)やオマー・ハキム(ds)等と共演し、世界中のジャズファンを驚かせる。その後も学業の合間をぬって精力的に活動を続け、大晦日には札幌Ｋｉｔａｒａホールにて行われたジルベスター・コンサートで札幌交響楽団との共演を果たす。 2011年3月高校を卒業。フランス・ブルキナファソ（西アフリカ）での初の海外公演を敢行。 6月にはロン・カーター(b)、ケニー・バロン(p)等とNYで録音したセカンドアルバム『NewYorkAttitude』をリリース。 2011年9月にボストン・バークリー音楽院から世界中から4名枠のプレジデント・フルスカラーシップを取得し留学中。
