A side project put together by members of Philadelphia underground favorites Balboa and Towers, the Elder trio consists of bassist/vocalist Armando Morales, guitarist/vocalist Craig Woods, and drummer Drew Juergens.
Finding inspiration in the hardcore sounds of the classic Dischord label roster, as well as the pre-emo, shoegazing set, Elder brought their jarring fusion of hard/soft dynamics to bear on their eponymous EP, which was released in 2008 by Forge Again Records. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
