The young southern rap entertainer jumped on the scene back in 2005. Although he hasn't been in the game that long, he has made his present felt all over the southern area. From the streets of West Dallas to the stomping grounds of Woodtown, this Texas artist is surely here to stay. With the help of A.B.E and Houston artist like E.S.G(S.U.C), Kiotti, Lil KeKe, J.Stew(C.M.G/Mo Money/Elite) backing him, succeeding is the least of his worries. Its Dallas' time to shine, and the boy D-Yo is gonna make sure of it. With that said...............LET'S RIDE!!!! Derek Roberts, nicknamed D-Yo by the legendary ESG, is one of Dallas’ newest and hottest rappers with lyrics from the streets that the masses can relate to. D-Yo took control of his rap career when he became a member of the Migraine Records family and took his place in front of the mic to work on the New Underground: Return of the Living Dead mixtape in September 2006. This mixtape features ESG, Kiotti, Countri Boi, J. Stew, and Lil Flip and is currently awaiting nationwide distribution. Since D-Yo’s first on-stage performance with Keeplock Ent. /TVT Records’ Countri Boi, he has gone on to do solo performances in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. D-Yo is continuously gaining popularity in Texas and throughout the South, and plans to do performances nationwide. D-Yo can also be heard on DJ Du2ce’s and Countri Boi’s The Beginning of the End: Sko-N-Go Special Edition mixtape. He is currently working on his first solo album titled Career Change in which he will take the public through his personal journey from the streets to the stage through gripping lyrics full of the truth.
