Dream Atlantic

In 2009, Dream Atlantic emerged onto the local music scene in Richmond, VA with the release of their debut full-length album, “Losing The Floor.” DA’s unique blend of melody and heavy energy stands out in a city dominated by hardcore and metal acts . Richmond radio station, Y101, named Dream Atlantic one of the area’s brightest young breakout bands, describing their music as “emotion packed singing and screaming that will blast your ears out and keep them ringing the next day.” (y101rocks.com)

Dream Atlantic is named after a close friend, Derek Best, who passed away. His memory, as well as others they’ve lost, has brought DA an indescribable energy and passion. Already in their young careers, Dream Atlantic has won battle of the bands on the regional level, rocked the stage with national acts such as The Used, Bury Your Dead, Poison The Well, Vanna, This Or The Apocalypse, and has played numerous benefit concerts.

Dream Atlantic's sophomore album "Gunslingers" was released September 7th, 2010. The album was recorded by Dan Uphoff at Full Circle Recording (Chesterfield, VA) with mixing and mastering done by Jamie King at The Basement Recording (Winston-Salem, NC), and showcases the progressive talent that has made DA stand out of the crowd. After a busy year of playing shows, the band took time to record their third release, "DA Goes H.A.M." Released in December, 2011, this EP is a fun, engaging collection of cover songs, made for the fans. In 2012 the band hit the road hard again playing along the east coast. They are currently writing for their next highly anticipated full-length album, due out in early 2013.
