    .. DJ Versatile Born in Los Angeles, CA, DeVory Darkins was raised by his adoptive parents, a successful entrepreneur and stay at home mom. During his childhood, DJ Versatile harvested his creativity through the means of music allowing him to suppress the angst and harsh realities that he was dealing with in his home life. Enjoying the creative potential in music producing, DJ Versatile later took up the hobby of spinning tracks at local house parties, and found his true calling in the fast world of Hip Hop music. Although life was never picture perfect for DeVory Darkins, losing his adoptive mother to a fight with breast cancer, steamed the motivation he needed to pursue a career in music head on, leading DJ Versatile on a musically driven path. Despite the fact that DJ Versatile was not formally rehearsed in the art of music production, his love for the game, mixed with a interest for complex beats and hypnotic sounds, ensured his focus and possible success towards his dream.. After being sent to Houston, Texas and witnessing the homeless epidemic that plagued the city, DeVory was aware that his life goals, stretched far beyond the “rags to riches” clique rap dream, and after realizing that he wanted to continue with his mothers legacy, DJ Versatile sought out to inspire dreams for others through his music. Growing up, DJ Versatile became inspired by Hip Hop heavy weights such as Jay Z and Nas, while still holding true to old school styles of artists such as Run DMC. Together, his influences aided him in developing the musical style that he harvests today, placing emphasis on electric sounds, and unique beats. In 2007, DJ Versatile hooked up with a well known, local rapper named “Envy,” who’s lyrical style and renown delivery, complimented Versatile complex beats and old school style. Together, Envy and DJ Versatile, set out to achieve the dream they had both harvested for so long, taking over Envy’s family record label, “The Black Dynasty Inc.” With his new found success, Versatile held fast to his new opportunities, fine tuning his musical style, and lending his talents to the musical production of Envy’s first mix tape, “We Got Next,” which later on debuted to be widely successful in the Central Valley. While DJ Versatile continues to have his heart secured within the creative means of his music, his love for the humanities and other business opportunities continues to flourish through the guided success of “The Black Dynasty Inc.” and the various business ventures that they continue to foresee.
