Hello my name is Altamont B. Coley III, I am a percussionist from Washington D.C but know reside in Florida. I have been playing drums since the age of 7, but was introduced to other percussion instrument when I decide to attend the Great Bethune-Cookman Cookman University in 2003. Under the direction of Mr. Pedro Orey, I have improved my knowledge of percussion instruments. While at Cookman I have also learned a numerous amount of the things dealing with music technology under the direction of Mr. Tim Milam. With my first love being drums I continue to improve my skills on the kit. I currently play at Hope Fellowship Church under the leadership of Bishop Derek T. Triplett (pastor), Elder John Paul McGee (minister of music), and Alex King (MD). I have had the opportunity to perform and share the stage with many people such as Derek T. Some of my biggest influences when it come to drums are Aaron Spears, Calvin Rogers, Mike Reed, Teddy Campbell, Brian Frasier-Moore, Gorden Campbell, Dennis Chambers, Jojo Mayer, Nat Townsley, Spanky, Chris Coleman, Gerald Heyward, Big Mike, Skeeter, and many more. Also I have to show love to my close mentors and friends, Courtney G., Terran, Mark McClary Jr., Nate S., Steve B., Adrian A-man Barnes, Manny and Omar, Todd Wilson…(met him not to long ago..cool guy and beast on the kit…much love.
