Cold Empire

July 2006: Cold Empire was created from a concept of the vocalist Misanthrone.
The founding members are Misanthrone (vocals, also with Mutilated Soul), Valker (guitars, ex Streben), Dark Shadow (drums, ex Streben) and Necrocultus (bass). Our desire is to create dark and obscure black metal similar to the style of the Scandinavian scene from the early 90's.

September 2006: The Official Cold Empire logo was finalized, the design was done by Vandenis, a personal friend from Lithuania.

October 2006: The band entered the V-Studio of Villy Cocco to record the first two songs in a raw live version.

Spring 2007: The band starts recording sessions for "...And The Cold Arrived". Drums, guitars and bass tracks are recorded in our home studio while vocals are done at V-Studio (also where the final mixing is completed). At the same time Necrocultus decides to leave the band for personal reasons.

June 2007: Our first DEMO is ready! Tracklist: 1) Cold Empire, 2) Storms Will Rise, 3) Nocturnal Sea, 4) Forest Of Hate. Artwork by Vandenis.

July 2007: Cold Empire was discovered by Bleak Art Records and offered a contract to release a debut full length album in late 2008.

September 2007: "VN" (also with Verbo Nero) has been recruited as the new bassist of the band October 2008: Due to some problems with the label the band decides to breach the contract with Bleak Art Records before the expected release.

November 2008: "VN" leaves the band due to personal reasons. The substitute (as a guest member) is Mattia, of the band Welkin Plague.

April 2009: Cold Empire and Mattia friendly decided to part ways; Valker himself is going to handle bass duties for the recording sessions of the debut album. The band sincerely thanks Mattia for his kind cooperation during the previous months.

June 2009: The cooperation between drummer Dark Shadow and Cold Empire ceases amicably. Dutch session man Leendert Kersbergen has been announced as the new studio drummer for the band.

August 2009: The band reaches an agreement with german label Naturmacht Production about the release of the debut album, which is expected for the summer of 2010.

August 2010: "From the Ashes of the Empire" is out, the debut cd is available at Naturmacht Shop.

November 2010: Cold Empire and Naturmacht Productions ceased cooperation.

February 2011: French underground Black Metal label Thor's Hammer Productions reissues From the Ashes of the Empire on tape, in an extremely limited run of 99 copies. Grab your piece of total fucking underground Black Metal now. (buy webshop) www.thorshammerproductions.com

May 2011: Anamnesi is the new drummer for the band. He also plays with the bands Anamnesi, Vultur and Simulacro.

November 2011: The band announces WLKN (also vocalist of the band Crowned In Thorns) as a new bass player.
