The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (UK) was established in London in 1958 to call for the international disarmament of nuclear weapons.
Today we are campaigning to oppose the replacement of Trident - the UK's current nuclear weapons system.
The government has announced it will make a decision by the end of this year and - following pressure from CND and other campaigners - will allow MPs a deciding vote.
Join the campaign to say No Trident Replacement.
Events you can take part in will be updated here and on our website at
www.cnduk.org - please take a look!

Hi to everybody at CND. I hope everything is going good for you. I thought your friends and visitors might be interested in three crazy tragi-comic satirical anti-war podcast/radio plays we have recently recorded. You can download the plays on www.myspace.com/lecirquetrilogy
have a nice day
Tony Benn back at Glastonbury for 2007
Full details of our 2007 lineup are due over the next couple of weeks but we couldn’t resist marking the end of Life on Mars by announcing our own retro 70’s experience that will bring together former Bay City Roller Eric Faulkner and our good friend and comrade Tony Benn.
This will be Tony’s 5th time on the Glastonbury stage, and he’s always been a huge draw since we were just a little tent tucked away by the Jazz stage. Last year he pulled a crown of 5000 in the Left Field, beaten only by the combined celeb-fest of Babyshambles avec Kate Moss.
He’ll be joined by Eric on the sunday afternoon under the banner “Another World is Possible”. Eric’s a top bloke and dead proud of his union roots, his dad was a shop steward for the GMB union, and was blown away when we suggested he open for Tony Benn at Glastonbury.
What chance of a rendition of Bye Bye Baby for Tony Blair’s impending departure I wonder?

Many many thanks for the add, CND ARE AWESOME.
The very thought of trident makes me sick to my stomach, especially considering the other problems our country is going through.
Imagine how much we could improve our NHS, or have a far more adequate and modern education system for the people who are the future of our society.
I hope CND can raise its profile to be as widely known and appreciated as it was back in the 80s.
Peace be with all of you
