  • Bio

Stan and Frank are best friends - brothers in all but name - and started singing Ledbelly in bars and Lonnie Donegan at weddings from a very young age. Their earliest musical influence was the Blues because that was what Brian loved himself... Chilly Breeze formed in 2006 - born from Brian and Alans love of the Blues ... and Chilly Breeze remains mainly the Blues - whether obscure, uptempo, rock-influenced, soulful or slow. Frank and Stan were 12 and 11 respectively, and Ellie was just 7 years old when Chilly Breeze began. They recorded and released their first LP, "The Shape of Things to Come" before the band had even gigged - but on the strength of that were invited to play at Sandown Park Stadium supporting the Four Tops and The Temptations. Brian remembers being "petrified - but the kids all took it in their stride!..." Frank is a self-taught musician, and also writes his own material, he is well respected by the top session musicians he has played with and he aspires to be a top session guitarist. Chilly Breeze released a second LP in 2009 "Wild Winds are Blowing" and they hope you can get to see them playing live in 2010 Stan & Frank are pleased to introduce two new members to the band - Ollie Futcher on drums Ollie is also the drummer with Quebec Ensemble ( look them up) and Chris Norman on Keyboards

PS Check out The Martin Harley Band, I think you would love their style and music. They are fairly local to you too.
