.. David Vigil met Carlo Armendariz July 1998 at a house party Carlo's rap group "C-Brothaz" was performing at. One month later Carlo & Dave started the group Celestial Ecstacy. Late August 1998 Justin Hotchkiss joined the group as the Lead Guitarist. In Septemeber 1998 Roland Garcia joined the group as the Bassist. The band started to write & rehearse music for about three months. In December 1998 Justin Hotchkiss left the group. In January 1999 Dino Padilla joined the group as the organist. For the next 4 years Celestial Ecstacy would write over 50 songs, play over 100 shows throughout Santa Fe & Albuquerque, and record 3 albums. The Band went into the studio October 1999 to work on their first album "Mandala" which came out in 2003. In 2001 they released their second album "Rain" followed by the 2002 release of their 3rd album "Pearl". On September 10, 2003 Dino was tragically killed in a car accident. The band at the time was Carlo Armendariz, David Vigil, Dino Padilla, Roland Garcia, Rudy DeVargas & Amado Abeyta. The group disbanded due to the tragic loss of a prominent member. In 2004, Carlo Armendariz, David Vigil & Roland Garcia started the band "Sapphire", and Celestial Ecstacy became history. You can check out sapphire's site at www.myspace.com/sapphire3 -
