2004年に結成。
都内を中心に活動し、アンダーグラウンドシーンで異才を放つRAPグループ、 MIDICRONICA(アニメ「サムライチャンプルー」のエンディングに楽曲が使用され話題を集めるラップグループ)と imaginion(数々のライブに出演をし、アンダーグラウンドシーンでは絶大なる支持を仰ぐ「降神」や「shing02」などとの共演を経て注目を集めるラップグループ)の中心メンバー(was,hight28%,tao,pepue)からなるMC陣、 shibuya Club Familyの看板イベント「神の足元」のレジデントDJを務めるDJ Shunsuke、DJ 副島ショーゴ、
そして全く異なるジャンルで活躍をしており、ジャンルの壁を超越した斬新なサウンドプロダクションを行う岩渕マサルこの7人からなる雑食系ラップ集団。
7人は、渋谷のClub Familyにて繋がりを深め、Astroを結成する。
1st　Mini Album“population”が、渋谷タワーレコードJ-HIP HOPウィークリーチャート第2位を獲得し注目を集めるなか、2nd Mini Albumも07/03/07にリリースされ、外資系インディーズチャートを賑わす。
iTunes限定でリリースを行ったVirtual Full Album“Popumonic”は、iTunes　rap/HIPHOPチャート初登場6位を記録する。
そして2008.02.13に待望のファースト・フルアルバムをリリースする。
