Bio:

Described as a worthy talented musician by El Diario,Armando has performed in chamber Ensembles,Orchestras,and as soloist throug out the tri-state area and abroad. He has been principal for the Operafestival di Roma Orchestra in Italy where the orchestra recorded for RAI television Mozart piano concerti and Mozart Kegelstatt's Trio K.498. A graduate of Laguardia High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts and the Mannes College of Music PC Div where his teacher was Bonnie Isbey Shollin NYC. He has played with Ensemble Du Monde, Ensemble Artist's Orchestra , New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music,CLOC Opera Orchestra, Laguardia Symphony, Interschool Orchestra of NY, Orange County Community Band Ramsey Wind Symphony. He has been E-Flat Clarinetist with the Ridgewood Concert Band since 2006 where he can be heard playing E- flat clarinet on the Highlights from the 26th Season CD .He is a sub for the Ridgewood Symhony, New York symphonic Arts Ensemble and at Orchestra Society of Philadelphia. Competetions and Festivals he has been are Tanglewood Festival, Hampden Sydney Festival, Bowdoin, Lincoln Center's Young Artist's Competition and has performed Brahm's Trio op.114 at Merkin Hall. Masterclasses have been with Ronald Roseman, Richard Stolzman, Felix Galimir, Samuel Baron, Robert Routch, Alan Kay, Franco Ferranti, Ethan Sloane and David Gould . He is active in NY/ NJ as a clarinet sub which has given him opportunities to work with conductors and ensembles like Marlon Daniel of Ensemble Du Monde,Timothy Hutto New York Symphonic Artist's Ensemble,Sybille Werner,Jonathan Strasser Manhattan Precollege Philharmonic and Orquesta Sinfonica de Venezula, Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, Anthony Maglinoe, David Briskin National Ballet of Canada, Jonathan Strasser, Stefano Vignati Operafestival di Roma, David Randolph Santa Cecila Orchestra , Dino Anagnost Little Orchestra Society Loras Schissel Blossom Festival Band and recently Performed in a performance of Brahm's Requiem under the direction of Joseph Jones.He has performed at Merkin Hall, Soho House in NYC ,Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully, and John Goldmark Hall and with the Attacca String Quartet. In additon he as worked with contemporary composers Adam Wilson (sextet) and compoeser Sean Branchfield at NYU. He studied with David Weber from the Juilliard School in NYC ,his major influences are David Weber , Ralph Mclane , Daniel Bonade, Harold Wright and Louis Cahuzac.
