Amoth, completely unique band from Helsinki, Finland have finished recording their debut album "Crossing Over". The album is intelligent mixture of heavy-metal, progressive rock, thrash, jazz and even classical. In comparison, there's really nothing else like it. Band, being labeled under "progressive metal" is 100% satisfied with the results. "No compromises were made at any point in music, lyrics or any other area" says the band's guitarist and composer Tomi Ihanamäki. No BS, this is about music and is as real as it gets! Amoth has previously recorded an EP called "Wounded Faith" which was taken extremely well in metal underground circles. Almost 4000 listeners at www.myspace.com/amothband! The EP also got great reviews at www.vertigo.cd and www.aadolf.com. Inferno magazine #2/2009 also reviewed the EP with words like "(Amoth's) music excels at almost everything, gimmicks, melody, heaviness and intelligence". This time around though the boundaries are pushed even further with full length album and very talented and diverse new singer Pekka Montin and drummer Tuomo Latvala. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. -

Amoth is a progressive metal band from Helsinki Finland. Their music is combination of 80's heavy-metal and thrash, spiced up with progressive elements and jazzy stuff. They have made EP called "Wounded Faith" and are currently working on a full length album.
