Bio:

1995年 同じ高校だったリョウジとtinpeiが「あくしゃばりうちみだれうち」結成
1998年 リョウジとtinpeiが高校卒業後再会。 daydayの前身である「777」を結成。 福岡県久留米市近郊にて精力的に活動。
2000年 1stアルバム「浮き立つ24の日々」をリリース。 活動拠点を広げ、歌謡ロックと称されるようになる。
2001年 合瀬健史が、777二代目べーシストとして加入。 2ndアルバム「水の種」リリース。同年末、TAKEDA2000GTが加入。
2002年 3rdアルバム、「KING & QUEEN」リリース。 以降バー、カフェ、ラジオ、各種イベント等、柔軟なライブ活動を展開。
2003年 メンバーそれぞれの環境の変化により解散。
2004年以降 その後tinpeiは活動拠点を熊本に移し、ソロ活動を展開。 リョウジはラジオパーソナリティとして表現の場を取得。 合瀬は後に3つのバンドを渡り歩く。
2009年7月某日 21時頃、リョウジとtinpeiが福岡市営地下鉄車内にて再会。飲酒中にバンド再結成を検討。 同日のリョウジが着ていたシャツの色、日々、die→dieから「dayday」と命名。 ほどなく合瀬に相談。「あ、いいですよ。」で結成。
