About me:

I am happily married to a brainy Brit, love my dog named Digby (he's a schnoodle with issues adopted from the pound), adore music, am a *huge* fan of The Brian Jonestown Massacre (for over 13 years now!) and have traveled thousands of miles to see them perform, believe there is probably nothing better than seeing live music (especially in a dirty, dark venue), plan vacations around my favorite band's gigs, love Thai food (the hotter the better), am an only child with nine step siblings, live in my head a lot of the time, a Virgo, a daydreamer, believe in life on other planets, love autumn and the smells and sounds that go along with it (its my favorite season), love my jean jacket, am the official photographer of my life, sensitive, introverted at times, collect religious artwork, am the friend who always keeps in touch, grew up in the country in Michigan, intuitive, sleep better if I have showered first, regret getting rid of my first (and only) guitar, look young, have a real *thing* for greasy musicians with black hair, am nocturnal, am grumpy and unproductive if I have not had enough sleep (look out!), have a new job that I simply love (I am very lucky!), wish I could travel through time, dance to the beat of my own drum, am *not* patient with people who are unreliable or not honest, own lots and lots of skirts, have a thing for corduroy (its a texture thing, I reckon), like to do things my way, had a pink magic carpet in my bedroom when I was a kid (and I used to fly places on it), am fidgety, function better in a clean environment, like the smell of black licorice and cinnamon, am a kid (adolescent) at heart, enjoy writing, roller-skated in the 1970s and had the satin jacket to go along with it, appreciate and savor time by myself, a lover of exotic things, believe a girl can never have enough make up or hair products, have a vivid imagination, appreciate antiques, collect rock and roll handbills and posters, have a collection of flattened pennies from places I have traveled to, believe in karma, collect Moroccan lanterns and trinkets, wanted to be an archaeologist or a singer when I was a kid, still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, am slated to *RETIRE* in 10 years, 10 months!!!, was an elementary teacher for twelve years, appreciate the magic of the first snowfall of the winter, am attracted to eccentrics, wish I could afford to live by the ocean (I will one day!), think that thunderstorms are fabulous, could watch fireflies all night long, actually looked for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, and have trouble sitting long enough to write more. ..<
